Poker has been slow lately

I really haven't had much time to play lately. I have recently arrived to Tuscaloosa and school started Wednesday. I've been swamped with settling in to seeing friends and classes and work. I've got two gigs and am talking to someone tomorrow about finding work as well. I'm off to a great start and I'm really excited about the semester.

So, poker has been slow lately but that doesn't mean I haven't played. I really only have time for 6-max ring games right now. MTTs are totally out of the question.

With my bankroll at $70 and my sanity obviously in question, I played a quick session of NL50 6max and luckily was able to stack someone and boost my roll to $120. The hand follows:

FullTiltPoker Game #3370021339: Table Lazarette (6 max) - $0.25/$0.50 - No Limit Hold'em - 13:10:58 ET - 2007/08/26

*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to Show da Scrilla [Qd Jd] I like this hand 6-handed and will probably raise it from position. It sucks that I'm UTG but I definitely want to take this hand to the flop and I never open-limp. Raise it up.
Show da Scrilla raises to $1.75
daCatzMeow folds
PORKY2 folds
come_now calls $1.75 Damn. The button has called. I'll be out of position this hand and obviously not looking forward to it. It makes it a lot more difficult to c-bet.

*** FLOP *** [7s Td 7d] I've flopped 2 overcards and a flush draw. Not too bad. I didn't really want to be raised and find myself OOP here so I decide to check and hope to see a free card.
Show da Scrilla checks
come_now bets $3.50 Damn. So much for that free card. Now, would my opponent bet A7 , 77, or TT here? Doubtful. I put him on AT Looking back at the hand, he could have easily had 89s. Dumb of me to have not seen this.

Sorry for lack of updates

I just haven't been playing a whole lot lately.

That ends tonight with me playing $1r $500 Guarantee @ FTP along with some SNG MTTs.

I'd be a really profitable player if I just stayed within the limits of my bankroll. What can I say? The idea of easy big money is appetizing. I'll learn my lesson one of these days. Or get really rich really fast, lol.

See you @ the tables,
Show da Scrilla
