Finally :(

In my last 4 sessions (aka yesterday) I've lost <$600. Totally sucks but with how how I'd been running was only a matter of time. Not too surprisingly, I'm not upset. I've been very good about losing lately and the fact that I'm not upset solidifies this for me. If there is anything to be worried about, its whether or not I can shake off this fall and get back on my feet and play with just as much confidence as before.

Luckily, this rough session comes at a great time for me. I'm leaving for Mobile, AL tomorrow and will have a break from poker for an entire week. I'm looking forward to some time off and hopefully when I get back, I'll be itching to play.

I will be traveling for ~22 hours roundtrip. I'm bringing a book I've yet to start called Full Tilt's Poker Strategy Guide: Tournament Edition. Hopefully I'll be a sick MTT player when I get back because I'm sure its going to be a great read.

Here is the tournament lineup for this evening:
  • $35+$3 Bounty $7k Guarantee
  • $3+$.3 Rebuy $7k Guarantee
  • $25+$2 Bounty $5k Guarantee
If anything good happens I'll re-post or edit this. If not, have a good week everyone.

Results since PokerTracker

I guess there is only one way to start this post.

The following results are based on a ~24 hour period.

$1/$2 (6 max)

$2/$4 (6 max)

Complete results

Basically, I've made nearly $400 dollars in a day. This could have been more had I not lost a $273 pot with AKs to JJ. Anyways..

I don't know if I'm just running ridiculously hot or what. After only 15 days I don't think I have an adequate long-term picture of my accomplishments. I think I need 10,000 hands or so to get a good assessment of how I'm doing. Then I can separate short-run from the long-run. As of now, I have:
  • 126 hands logged @ 2/4
  • 1218 hands logged @ 1/2
  • 3720 hands logged @ .25/.5
  • 1772 hands logged @ .1/.25
  • ~6888 total hands logged
How much I've made at the different games:
  • $302 @ 2/4
  • $309 @ 1/2
  • $473 @ .25/.5
  • $56 @ .1/.25
  • ~$1,110 total
Keep in mind, this is over a 15 day period. Yeah, I just realized I've made $1.1k in a little over 2 weeks. What is funny is that I feel like I'm just warming up. Why? Because I've made over half of that ($532) in the past 4 days. What does the future hold?

I want to have one day where I just fucking grind poker all day long. During weekdays, I honestly play in half-hour to one hour spurts and that is all. I just don't have the opportunity to just sit and grind. Well, that isn't true.. I do have the opportinity, but I just don't. I feel that family and friends walking in is distracting. I wish I had a quiet place to play. I guess I should just shut the hell up and play. I'm doing it. Tomorrow, I'm locking myself in my room when I get home (after getting a baller haircut) and grinding.

I'm leaving to Mobile, AL this Saturday and won't be back until next Saturday. Obviously, I won't be playing this entire week nor will I be writing. When I get back, I will play only on FTP until Thursday because that is when UB's weekly UltimatePoints transfer thing starts.

My goal is to hit a bankroll of $2k @ UltimateBet by Saturday. That is probably the lamest goal ever and unless I run really bad tomorrow I will probably hit it tomorrow, lol. Maybe I should be sick and set it @ $2.5k. Eh, honestly, I don't give a damn. Goal: $2k by Saturday.

UltimateBet Bankroll: $1800.73 NEW RECORD! :)
Full Tilt Poker Bankroll: $51.85* (lol, one day I will care about this)

Big Day

Finally, an MTT cash. I placed 7th today in the UB $7k Bounty for a nice $315. Sick that $315 is only 4.50% of the prize pool. First paid out a whopping $1820 and for the last two hours of the tournament I was seriously repeating to myself that I was going to win it all. I'm disappointed in the results but glad about them at the same time. I've been playing MTTs ridiculously well lately and its about time something good happened.

In the bust hand, I pushed over the top of a raise with AT and after a very long time he called with KQ. I survived the flop but couldn't dodge his 6 outs as his King paired on the turn. I missed the miracle Ace and was out.

This was my biggest MTT cash of my career :) I also knocked out 5 players to make $25 in bounties. It feels great to do well in these big buy-in tournaments. I'm comfortable playing them.

Earlier in the day, I also finished in 34th of the UB $1.5k Bounty for a score of ~$11 and I think $4 in bounties.

I also had a very very good ring game session to close out the night. I 6-tabled .25/.50 and destroyed it. Things are so much easier now too with pokertracker. I am folding AJ when a player who has played/raised just 6% of his hands raises and I'm also raising Q3o in position against players who fold to steals as blinds. Its great.

A little look-see on my session thanks to PokerGrapher...

I finished up $201 in ~800 hands (~90 minutes)

Only ~$540 more dollars to make and I get to move up to NL100 ($.5/$1). Omy.

UB: $1440

I like $1/$2

Kinda cool to come home, sit down and make ~$320 just like that. I 4-tabled NL200s (aka $1/$2) and although things started rough and I found myself in a $100 hole early, I climbed back and won a few big hands and ended up on the session (only 175 hands).

In one, I raised to $7 from MP with KK and the SB reraised to $21. The BB cold-called and I 3-bet it to $84 straight. The SB, after using his entire time bank, pushed for $188 total. The board came 2J6Q3 and my opponent flipped over AK. I just realized I had to dodge an Ace a Ten on the river, eek. That would have been a slap in the face. Anyways, ship a $397 pot for a $207 net profit.

The second big hand, I was on the button with AQcc and raised to $9 with a limper. The BB called and the original limper folded. We saw a flop of 45Q with two spades. He threw out a $10 bet and I min-raised to $20. He re-raised the min, to $30 straight, and I just called. The turn brought the Jc and all of a sudden he just pushed all-in for $61. I called and the river brought another J and he showed, lol, T8dd for like, a gutshot straight draw. LOL! Sometimes its too easy but I wouldn't want it any other way. Ship a $203 pot for a $100 net profit.

I purchased PokerTracker and PokerAce Hud the other night and wow. The information I get from these two programs is absolutely sickening. I'm still learning to read it all. I'll post screenshots of the two programs and discuss them a little more when I get back in tonight.

Tonight I will also write about my thoughts on withdrawing money from UltimateBet.

My bankroll stands at an all-time high:

Sunday MTTs

What I play in today:
  • $3+.3 Rebuy $2k Guaranteed at 12
  • $15+1.3 Bounty $4k Guaranteed at 2
  • $1+.1 Rebuy $1.5k Guaranteed at 4
  • $6+.5 Bounty $2k Guaranteed at 5
  • $35+3 Bounty $7k Guaranteed at 6:30
  • $3+.3 Rebuy $8k Guaranteed at 8
  • $25+2 Bounty $5k Guaranteed at 8:30
All while constantly 4-tabling .25/.50.

I'll also be watching the Mexico v. Costa Rica game @ 2 on TV.

Living a dream today? Almost.

So, that's what 4-digits look like... COOOOL.

Lol, so I was waiting for a girl I'm talking to to call me and I decided to hop online and 2-table NL200s. Even though I sucked at MTTs today I played .1/.25 really, really well. Anyways, these two hands came in the 8th and 9th minute of playing and were back-to-back hands.

Yes, in a total of 2 hands... I made $260. As you can also see, both of my opponents played their hands pretty fucking horribly.

Had the first guy raised UTG with TT, there would not have been as many callers preflop. I would have raised, and he would have called. I would have c-bet the flop and with the K and J out there, he would've folded right then and not gone broke. Instead, he played TT way to aggressively and it cost him his entire stack. He should have checked the flop, but instead pot-committed himself to a board that had 2 overs to his pair.

In the 2nd hand, I just can't believe I'm getting called down by T9, lol. Not only does, rofl, J9 have this guy beat, but I raised preflop. The only realistic hand he is beating on the flop is AK. He should know after I call on the flop that he is fucked. But, he calls me down, lol. I wonder if he was willing to go broke with that T9 because that would've been... cute.

Anyways, in summary, in 2 hands I made over half of my first Quillian paycheck.

Also, thanks to these two wonderful hands...

Saturday's MTTs (edited)

I've got a feeling I'm going to hit an MTT really really hard in the next few days. I'm running really well and hopefully will make something happen soon.

Tonight, I'll be playing in the following:

$10+$1, Rebuy $200k 30 Seat Qualifier at 8 PM
$3+.$3, Rebuy $7k Guaranteed at 8 PM
$25+$2, Bounty $5k Guaranteed at 8:30 PM
$25+$2.50, $7.5k Guaranteed at 11 PM
$6+$.50, Bounty $5k Guaranteed at 12 AM
$1+$.1, Rebuy $1k Guaranteed at 1 AM

Gah, I'm spending $138 today in tournament buy-ins and fees alone. I better make something happen if not I'm going to have to reconsider these big buy-in MTTs. I can hang with the competition, it is just that I don't have the proper bankroll to play them every night. We'll see.

I'll edit later with the results.

Wish me luck.

[EDIT]
Meh, I just can't make anything happen. I went through a period of sick tilt for absolutely no reason. I don't know why I did it. I just all of a sudden wanted out of everything. Or, at least, that is what it seemed like. So weird.

I busted in 64th place of the 30 Seat Qualifier after getting all in with J9o on a flop of JxJ against QQ. Of course I didn't dodge a Queen and am out. Pretty rigged.

I feel like the stupid tilt episode is over so I'm going to 6-table .1/.25 for 32m and then play the $7500 Guarantee. Maybe this time I won't get 12th place again. Grr.

[EDIT 2]
Brick, brick, brick.

12th in $6.5k for $65, so f***ing disappointing

So frustrating. I finished in 12th place in the $25+2.5 $6500 Guarantee for a measly $65. In the hand that cost me the tournament, I just could not fold QJ on a QTx board. When the turn came K and gave me an oesd, I had less reason to fold. Of course I missed my straight on the river but still decided to call a 10k bet and got owned by KQ. That was the tournament right there. Game set match. Thanks for playing. I stole with a few junk hands like Kx and even 27dd once and eventually busted pushing TT into KK and bricked everything.

$65?!?! So pissed. This was a $6.5k Guarantee where 1st place paid roughly $1600 and where I played mostly perfectly for all but one hand. F&##%@!

In every other hand besides that one I completely misplayed, I think I played very incredibly well. I improved on the bubble and still have room for improvement. Compared to the 200k this past Sunday, I was a little more aggressive. I played very, very well today and its a huge disappointment I got 12th..

Most people don't understand how I can complain about getting 12th place out of hundreds of players. Most people don't comprehend how I can be miserable about winning $65. I guess my problem is that I set the bar so high up for myself. I want to be the absolute best. And, after being in such great shape to win the entire tournament and to not even make the final table... ouch. $1600 compared to $65 for only having to survive 11 more players, after surviving hundreds already? Please...

I'm still playing in the $1+.1 Rebuy $800 Guaranteed and doing fairly well I suppose. I've got T19745 with the average <15000. I'm debating not finishing it because I have to work at 8 and its already 2:30 and if I win it it will probably be around 6:30 when its done. So.. I don't know if I'm just going to say goodbye to my measly $5 investement and get some shut eye or what. Guess we'll see.

In which I write about how happy I am

I'm really happy right now. I just took a step back at this online poker thing and I can't help but think to myself that I've finally made it. I've broken through.

My bankroll is at $821 currently and I think it will be at $1000 very soon. For the most part, I will be 6-tabling .1/.25 because that is what my bankroll allows me to play. I think at the very minimum, I should have 20 buy-ins (1 buyin = 100BBs) for any game. So, with $821, I've got roughly 33 buy-ins and am in very good shape. In order to move up to .25/.50, I'm going to need to have a bankroll of $1000 (100BBs = $50, $50 x 20 buy-ins).

I jump into a $1/$2 game when 1) I feel like I'm playing very well and, 2) There are no regulars seated. Regulars include idols of mine ValueKill (4-6 tabling $1/$2 and currently moving up to $2/$4) and LastNewLeaf (who is currently 9-tabling $1/$2 with over $2k in front of him, and up ~$200 in maybe 20 minutes) If I'm every as good as these guys, I'm quitting my job. I am fairly certain they have already because the money they make is sick. Watching them is a lesson and whenever they are grinding I am usually always watching and picking up on their moves. Their aggression is just sickening and they pretty much run over everyone they play against. I have a few hands logged against ValueKill and have sat next to him which is kind of the equivalent of a 16 year old girl getting to see Justin Timberlake backstage. Just kidding. Actually no.

Anyways, I'm happy! Can't wait to play this weekend. I still haven't qualified for the $200k but I'll try Friday and Saturday to make that happen. Also, haven't played many MTTs as of late but that will change! I'm debating staying up and playing some tonight. We'll see.

Bankroll @ $800!

I flirted with a bankroll of $1k today but eventually settled @ $800. I'm happy with how I'm playing 1/2 currently.

I also made $16 playing NL10 7-handed at BigSlick's house.

Funny Story

I was about to close my laptop for the night but then realized I had like a sip or two of my milk left. So I decided to eat 7 cookies and then drink the rest of my milk. So, while I ate my 7 cookies I played 1 table of 1/2 online. And made $87 in like 5 minutes, haha.

What is so sad is that I just made more money than I'll make working an entire day at Quillian tomorrow.

Mm.. cookies and milk.

UB Bankroll: $750

Tore up NL50 live for +$85

I went over to my friend Tony's house tonight to play in his weekly .25/.50 game and played pretty well. I finished up $85 on the night. The play gets really crazy and loose as the time for cash out comes closer, and I managed to get aipf with JJ v AK v KJ and for a ~$40 pot or so. There weren't really any other significant hands. I doubled someone up early with QQ v AA aipf, and that pissed me off. I also got coolered really nice when I got aipf with KQ v Q7 and still managed to lose. Luckily, I rose above all that. I really liked how I played there today. I think I was a little more aggressive. Or, maybe it was a better run of cards. Either way, I play very well there and have been doing so the entire summer. I am probably up close to $200 there so far.

Anyways, I've been feeling like playing more cash lately so will probably be doing that tomorrow. I've also got a little cute coffee date so hopefully that goes well.

Ciao ballas and thanks for reading,
Birds n Bees

88th in the Sunday 200k for $300

I finished in the money in the 200k today and couldn't be any happier. Usually I am very disappointed when I finish just barely in the money, but I have $300 to keep my happy this time.

Thanks to everyone who railbirded me today during the tourney: Kinney, Emily, Mark, and Michael. You guys are fantastic and I appreciate y'all sticking around and watching me. It is great to have such a supportive group of friends and I love y'all for it.

The tourney went fantastic for ~2+ hours. I was up to ~double the chip average at one point. I started playing grotesquely too tight at the end though. When the antes kicked in at 150/300/25, people starting dropping like flies and before I knew it I was below average. I kept sinking and sinking, and finally settled on just trying to finish itm rather than winning the entire thing. Although I've been out for over two hours now, the final table has just barely been sat.

I felt great playing in the tournament however. I was nervous and excited but also this past week has me feeling extremely confident in my abilities. That confidence, I think, is huge for a poker player. You have to be confident in throwing out that cbet when you completely whiff on the flop. You have to be confident when you only hit midpair and have a junk kicker. I lost this confidence somewhere in between the 2nd and 3rd hour and thats why I limped into the money. At my final table, I had played only 3% of my hands. That is disgusting and next time I play I plan on playing a whole lot less scared.

You've got no chance winning at poker if you're playing scared. Scared money is dead money.

I'm wrapping up two more tournaments before I call this a day:

In the $3 Rebuy $8k Guaranteed, I am sitting pretty with T37,285 and the average at ~19k. This is good for 25th/251.

In the $25+$2 Bounty $5k Guaranteed, I'm sitting @ the chip average with T6340 to my name, good for 32nd/72.

I'll have write ups for both these tourneys later tonight.

88th/856 in UB

Saturday's MTTs

I think I've got pneumonia again. I'll find out for sure on Monday, but if I've got it again.. eek.. it'll be stronger than before and probably pissed off that I tried to kill it with antibiotics. Meh :(

MTTs I'll be playing today:
- $3+.30 Rebuy $1.5k Guaranteed at 12PM
- $15+1.30 Bounty $4k Guaranteed at 2PM
- $1 Rebuy $1k Guaranteed at 4PM
- $10 Rebuy $200k 15 Seat Qualifier at 4PM (maybe)
- $6+.5 Bounty $1.5k Guaranteed at 5PM
- $3 Rebuy $7k Guaranteed at 8PM
- $10+1 $200k 30 Seat Qualifier at 8PM (maybe)

As well as:
Trying to qualify for the Sunday 200k because yesterday's bubble finish was devastating.

Also:
Continuing to play 1/2 in the afternoon. There are idiots who play 1/2 and even higher I'm sure. That is a lot of fucking money to be throwing around. And it will be thrown to me.

Wish me luck.

Friday's Guarantees (omy, so many!)

Meh, I just busted in 75th/109 in the $3+.30 Rebuy $1500 Guarantee. I played eh, all right and am glad I had to be 2-outed to be eliminated from the tournament. There were two huge hands that I guess I misplayed that cost me a ton of chips. The first was the second to last hand before the first break. I had JJ in the SB and in a multi-limped pot, I decided to pot it to 360 with BB60. I got 2 callers and we took a 4A5 flop. Out of position, I checked (mistake) and the other two callers checked as well. The turn was a 3 and I finally decided to bet out at it. The first player folded but the second player pushed and I called (mistake) and showed 22 for the turned straight. I should have bet the flop. Always c-bet! I should have won that hand on the flop but was scared of the Ace. With only one overcard to my pair, I need to be fearless. If I'm called I can be cautious in the later streets and if I'm reraised I can fold.

In the bust hand, the player UTG raised to 1000 with BB150 and a very loose aggressive player called after him. These were sick raises and I found AKo on the button and decided to push for 11,130 total. The player UTG thought long and hard before finally calling with TT and the lag player folded. The board came xxKxT which was heartbreaking as I would have more than likely been in the top 10 with 70~ to go.

I will edit this post later with results from all of today's Guarantees. I'm planning on playing the $15+1.30 Bounty $2000 Guarantee which I got 33rd/352 last time I played right now. Depending on the rest of my day, I will play the $1+.10 Rebuy $800 Guarantee at 4PM which I won this past Wednesday. I'm also planning on playing the $6+.50 Bounty $1500 Guarantee at 5PM, the $10+1 $200k 30 Seat Qualifier at 8PM, the $3+.30 Rebuy $7k Guarantee also at 8PM, and possibly the $6+.50 Bounty $2000 Guarantee at 12AM and the $1+.10 Rebuy $1000 Guarantee at 1AM. Wish me luck.

[EDIT, 4:40PM]:
$15+1.30 Bounty $2000 Guarantee
Disgusting, I busted in 22nd/181 players, just 2 spots from the money. I never could build up a dominant chip stack. With 4 or so eliminations to go until the bubble burst, the action was folded to a shortstack with maybe 4-5BBs and of course he pushed to steal the blinds. I found A4o in the SB and had to call, even though I had maybe 9-10BBs of my own. He showed T7o and the board came xxxTx to cripple me. In the last hand, I openpushed K7ss and got 2 callers and the board came AQxx7 and one player showed an Ace and the other a Queen. Oh well.
At the moment, I am playing the $800 Guarantee and have 5,610 chips which is good for ~900 above average. 130 players remain. Wish me luck.

[EDIT, 7:30PM]:
$1+.10 Rebuy $800 Guarantee
I bluffed off a sick amount of chips sometime in the second hour and was called down by Q8 who had hit top pair. Meh, after that I stopped caring.
In good news however, I did make ~$187 4-tabling .25/.50 so even though I haven't done anything huge in any of these MTTs today, I'm still up on the day!
In half an hour, the
$10+1 $200k 30 Seat Qualifier and the $3+.30 Rebuy $7k Guarantee start. These are the tournaments I've been looking forward to the most all day. Big things can happen.
My friends BigSlick and Chip_Mistress are here at my house and we're playing poker all night. I think its cool to play at the same time because it kind of sets a working environment, lol. Hopefully we can all make some monies!

[EDIT, 11:15PM]:
$3+.30 Rebuy $7k Guarantee
Meh, I busted. Nothing out of the ordinary there.

[EDIT, 11:15PM]:
$10+1 $200k 30 Seat Qualifier
Whoops, I didn't know this was a rebuy. Oh well, lets spend $77 then, lol. I busted 3 spots from the money. It is pretty cool to bubble twice. This one is more painful though because there was no difference between what 1st got and what 30 got. I played horrible with ~40 players left. I wasn't anywhere near shortstack but kept making raises with mediocre hands and then becoming shortstacked because of that. So horrible .

Anyways I'm tired.

I played a few hands of 1/2, which are posted above. Omy, my bank is sick now.

Won $800 Guarantee; Played 1/2

Ship $222. I played perfectly in this tourney except in the first few minutes where I didn't give a damn and got extremely lucky. I was up huge after KQ>QQ and Ax-1>Ax, lol. After those two suckouts, I think I played all right.

I missed the first 50m of the tourney but with rebuys and addons I was pretty much average at the end of the first break. Flopping sets and straights helped a lot in adding to my chip stack too.

The final table was pretty ridiculously hard. I got to the final table with the sickest of chip leads. I had 400k total when the average was 170k. I think I had 2nd place covered by about 170k as well. Things pretty much evened out though, as I don't think I knocked out any significant stacks. By the time things were 4 and 3-handed, chip stacks were fairly even. However, with the sick blinds and antes, aggression key.

I've never played a tougher 3-handed game than yesterday and I'm very fortunate to have come out with a win. oMONSTERo was a great player.

On the last hand, I raised K9 on the button and we saw a K high flop. oMONSTERo led out and I reraised x3 and he just flat called. The turn was a 9, giving me 2 pair. He had about 190k in front of him and I think I threw out 120k. He thought long and hard before finally shoving. I called and he showed AK. Lucky me I spiked that 9. I obviously wouldn't have busted that hand if I hadn't caught that 9 but it would have definitely put a dent in my stack. I shipped $222 for the first place finish.

I am feeling like I'm playing great poker right now. Last night, while waiting for a friend to call, I decided to put in a ring game session. I jumped into a 1/2 NL ring game and pretty much mopped the floor. I played ~50 hands and swear I was dealt a monster hand 10% of the time. That helps. In the hand of the night, I won a sick ~$180 pot with KK on a J44Qx board, where I think my opponent held QJ or AQ. Overall, I finished up $156 in 50 hands.

In total, I made $382 on the night. I may play more ring game or SNGs when I get back home but we'll see. I'm fucking exhausted.

Bounty $4000 Guarantee

Bounty $4000 Guarantee
Sun Jun 03 02:00 PM
Buy-in: $15 + $1.30
# Entries: 352
Places Paid: 40
Prize Pool: $4576
Bounty Pool: $704 ($2 bounty/player)

Level 1 (1500 starting chips, 5/10 blinds)

No hands played this level.

Commentary: According to thePokerDB, I have (imo) two players to worry about at my table. The first, sitting to my immediate right is ptw420 (9k+ winnings) who thankfully I have position on. The other player is KingJackO (1.6k winnings) who is 4 seats to my left. I will try to avoid playing pots against these two players.

Level 2 (1485 chips, 10/20 blinds)

Hand 1: AJss in MP, raise to 70. Take blinds.

Hand 2: Jh9d in BB, 4 handed pot. AKx, c/f.

Level 3 (1455 chips, 15/30 blinds)

Hand 3: AQhh in the SB. Raised to 105 by CO-1, and both the button and I join. 899 rainbow board and it goes CK-CK-T130, to which I fold.

New player: _END GAME_ sits to my immediate left with T1685. _END GAME_ placed 2nd in this event yesterday for $620, his biggest cash to date.

Hand 4: 88 UTG+1 and I decide to limp. 3 of us see a Q62 flop with two clubs. SB throws out a pot sized bet and I fold.

Hand 4 commentary: I didn't raise PF because 88 is very weak out of position. More times than not, a T, J, Q, K, or A will come out on the flop, and then what? I called with hopes to flop a set and missed. When the SB led out, he could've had anything. I was too weak to raise though and too weak to just call, so I just folded. Will pick better spots.

Level 4 (1290 chips, 20/40 blinds)

Hand 5: 9h6c in the BB v the SB. QQK rainbow flop and he checks to me. I bet out 40 and take it down.

New player: Zimma_man sits 4 seats to my right. Has played in 6 MTTs all time and cashed 0% of the time.

Hand 6: 3 limpers and I decide to see with 86cc. J2T board with two spades. Checks all around. The turn brings another 2. SB throws out 75 into a 220 pot and takes it down.

Level 5 (1210 chips, 30/60 blinds)

Hand 7: With 3 limpers, I join in from the SB with Ah9s. We see a 856 flop with 2 spades. I check and _END GAME_ throws out a pot-sized bet and gets 2 callers. I fold.

The last hand before break, _END GAME_ is eliminated with A6 v AJ aipf.

Break 1 (1090 chips, AVG: 3034, 153rd/174 players)

First hour commentary: I feel like I'm playing great, believe it or not. Even though I've lost ~400 chips, I've played nothing but solid hands thus far and I think I've played them all correctly. Soon, I'm going to start connecting with flops and hopefully I can make something then. I've played just 10% of my hands thus far so hopefully that tight image will allow me to steal now that blinds are rising to 50-100.

Level 6 (1090 chips, 50/100 blinds)

New player: foggie77 sits to my immediate left. 1.2k in winnings. Very similar results to mine.

Hand 8: Call all-in with 77 and the pot ends up 4-handed with 77 v AK v AK v A6. Board xxxxx and I triple up. Those crazy pocket 7's.

Level 6 commentary: Things are getting crazy. Everyone is starting to push!

Level 7 (3210 chips, 75/150 blinds)

New player: maverick3399 sits to my immediate left with T6105. Has made 1k+ all time and cashes over 25% of the time, with 20% final table appearances. Very active player.

New player: gooseguy222 sits to my two seats to my left with T7555. No in the money finishes whatsoever. Very active player.

No hands played this level.

Level 8 (2985 chips, 100/200 blinds)

New player: LadyG sits across from me with T3245. 1.8k in winnings and cashes 23% of the time.

New player: BJDMSU sits a3 to my right with T5625. 2.1k in winnings and cashes 13% of the time.

Hand 9: Player in EP limps as do I with 55. Fold to a raise from LadyG in the SB.

New table: We are all being moved to another table. Macerick3399 is across from me with 10345. I have the second least amount of chips with T2485.

Level 9 (2485 chips, 150/300 blinds)

Commentary: I've got ~8BBs so will be looking to push in the next orbit or two.

Hand 10: TT on the button. With two limpers, I push for 2035 total. Last limper calls with As7s and board comes 6J97Q for the double up.

Hand 11: Folded to me in MLP with 9cTc. I raise to 900 total and get a caller from LP and the BB. 4AQ rainbow flop goes ck-ck-ck. I stab 1200 when another Q hits on the turn and take it down.

Hand 12: Kd4h in the BB against the SB. He bets out on a 6A5 flop with two spades and I fold.

Level 10 (2685 chips, 150/300 blinds 25 antes)

Hand 13: Folded to me with KsJh in the CO. I raise to 1200 and take the blinds.

Hand 14: QKo in the BB with one limper and the SB completing. J57 board with two hearts and the player in position bets, and the SB reraises all-in and I fold. Could have taken it down preflop, the SB had J4 and the player in LP had 6h4h.

Break 2 (5820 chips, AVG: 9600, 41th/55 players)

Second hour commentary: Again, I'm satisfied with how I'm playing. I'm not playing fantastic, but I'm definitely in good shape to make something. I've got to survive just 15 players to make the money. I want to become more agressive this level and take all those blinds and antes.

Level 11 (5820 chips, 200/400 blinds 50 antes)

Hand 15: Raise to 1500 with A7o in MP and fold to a push of 3k more. He showed QQ. Glad I wasn't stubborn and called.

Hand 16: Folded to me in the SB and I push T2 and steal from the BB, who has 14k in chips.

Hand 17: Folded to me in the HJ and I push 33 for a smidgen under 4k and take the blinds.

Level 12 (5420 chips, 300/600 blinds 75 antes)

Pre-Level 12 commentary: I have 4795 in chips and 3 people until we are in the money. I hate being this shortstack but am holding on for dear life then will try to steal a whole bunch on

Hand 18: Push A9hh UTG and get the blinds.

Level 13 (5200 chips, 400/800 blinds 100 antes)

Hand 19: Push and steal blinds.

Hand 20: Push K3o on the button and lose to A4o from the BB.

I finished in 33rd place and won $25.16.

Bounty $2000 Guarantee

Level 1: (1500 starting chips, 5/10 blinds)

Hand 1: I find KK UTG+1, there is a raise from the player UTG to 40 and I reraise to 135 total. He folds.

Hand 2: Find 44 in the SB and call a standard raise with one limper. 5A6 flop goes check-check-check. Turn brings an 8 and I check again. Original raiser bets out 190 and I reraise to 600. He calls. The river brings another 6 and I bet all-in, which he insta-calls and wins with AKo.

Hand 2 Commentary: When he checked the flop I read it as him telling me that he was scared of the Ace. His range is something like TT-QQ, perhaps 99 when he checked here. When he bets the 8, it looks like he is just trying to buy the pot. However, when he calls my very serious raise on the turn, I should know I'm beat. Horrible push by me on the river. I don't understand his check on the flop but it obviously worked out well for him thanks to me. *sigh*

Level 2 (130 chips, 10/20 blinds)

Hand 3: 99 in LP, push all-in over the top of a standard raise and get 3 callers total. Board comes 2A99x for quads and the triple up. Original raiser had AJdd and other caller had 35o.

Hand 4: K4o in the BB. Check-check-check-check the 9J4 board as well as the 7 on the turn. River is another 4 and I bet 60 into a pot of 80 and take it down.

Level 3 (450 chips, 15/30 blinds)

Hand 5: Check QJo in the BB with 4 other limpers and check/fold 9K2 flop.

Level 4 (505 chips, 20/40 blinds)

Hand 6: Push all-in with AJo from the CO-1 with one limper for T405 and blinds/limper fold.

Level 5 (445 chips, 20/40 blinds)

Folded, folded, folded.

Level 6 (445 chips, 30/60 blinds)

Hand 7: Push all-in with Q5 from the BB with just one limper and the SB and of course the limper has JJ. KxTTx and I'm out in 238th place out of 458.

Hey, I paid like $1/hand for this tourney. Cool yo.

Inspring 2+2 article I read
